Ah me, it is that time of the year again.
Auckland has been miserable lately and the endless rain has been finding its way from the pavement and into my shoes far too often for my liking.
So I’m taking this as a sign from nature that I need to go out and buy a ridiculously good looking pair of boots (because I’m tuned in that way).
I’ll be honest, I have deep seated issues with shoes and how many of them I buy (although recently, I’ve started feeling better about this because Rosh is far far worse than me). The trouble is, I never buy boots, so I don’t know the first thing about them.
Which is why when I arrived at the store one brisk Saturday morning, I looked around and left within five minutes. Probably a first in the history of me shopping, ever. There were just too many styles to choose from!
But I’m starting to think, after extensive research on Pinterest that ankle boots may be the answer. You can dress them up or down, wear them with jeans or stockings or go bare legged.
The thing to keep in mind though, is the fit around the ankle. If you’re cursed with slimmer ankles than you know what to do with, socks really do help. A pop of colour just peeking up around the sides of your boots instantly gives you cool points in my book.
And omg shiny boots!! If there’s anything that could cut through the grey of winter, it would be these babies!
‘Til the next post, stay warm and happy soup sipping!
